Gas-filled
The space between the individual panes - the so-called air space (SZR) is filled with 90% argon and, less frequently, the significantly more expensive krypton. The minimum heat conductance is only slightly lower with krypton, but this is achieved with a significantly smaller air space - an advantage for triple-insulation glazing in particular.
Edge connection
The edge connection has the task of mechanically holding the glass panes together at a specific distance and preventing the gas filling from escaping.
